Would you believe this little sweetheart was born almost 3 months early and weighed under 2 pounds? This session took place the day after her official due date and she is a healthy 6+ lber now! She was so strong she could even lift her head up and turn it! She is lucky to have an older sister who is super cute and vivacious! And mom has such wonderful taste in home decor & furniture... check out these colors!!
This little guy has the most beautiful blue eyes you'll ever see. You might remember him from a post I did a year ago, and he appears on my website here and there. He's very cute and has great taste in clothing for a 2 year old :). The poor little guy was coming down with a cold during this session but he (and his parents) hung in there nonetheless! As you can see, he had lots of entertainment, including balloons, cars, and why, yes, that is a live peacock... never know what kind of "props" you'll get with Amy Lynden Photography! All kidding aside, that poor peacock didn't realize how fast this 2 year old can run!
I have photographed this lil' guy three times. And, I've noticed every single time, there is a monkey theme. At six months, he sat in a chair with a little stuffed monkey. He had monkeys painted on his walls. At one year, he posed for his holiday card decked out in a monkey sweater, making a silly face. This time around, at 2 years old, we did an "urban" session. And he showed up with a monkey tee shirt, and a very cool monkey t-shirt at that! Well, monkeys are always cool right? And everyone knows little boys love hats, too, right? Um... no, at 2 years old they get chucked in the street... no thank you, mom.
PS - I realize this is a gorilla on his t-shirt...
PSS - I recently learned that the difference between a gorilla and a monkey is a tail :).
I love finding new locations that are full of texture, color, character and charm. One of my new favorite locations is a group of buildings (actually a winery) located adjacent to Rancho San Antonio. I have frequented this location for several of my recent senior sessions and it gets better and better every time! There are even peacocks that wander around. This young lady showed up with the *perfect* clothing for this location... so cute, and so is she! More to come from this locale soon!
So, it turns out my very own baby brother is a budding photographer. Seems I have an interest in people photography and he has an interest in landscape photography. He sent me these pics this morning, which I thought were quite captivating, and a nice change of pace... Kind of reminds me of a Cure song called "The Forest"... "see into the trees"...
And they are all great! It is clearly "senior season", particularly for seniors at Palo Alto High, with yearbook deadlines looming in the not-so-distant future. I've met so many wonderful kids over the past several weeks. Meet Kelley, a girl with great style and a great smile. We started out at the studio and then made our way north for some outside shots.
A while back, I posted about the many senior girl + horse sessions that I have been doing. I'm a bit behind in my blogging, so you'll see a few more of these soon. They have all been spectacular - in terms of lighting, beautiful horses, barns, and of course, pretty girls. This session was no exception. As soon as I saw this long white dress, I knew we were in for some beautiful images! This young lady truly has a love for horses - and I could see that in every image we took.
you've got to be a ton of fun!! These kids are a couple of my favorite clients. They have this fiery red curly red hair - and personalities to match! Full of energy, wit and sass! I think you can get a feel for the amount of energy that took place during this session from the pictures below. And in case you can't tell, they are twins! I get stopped all the time by people asking me if my kids are twins (and yes they are), but I can only imagine the comments the mom of these two hears with this beautiful red hair! Talk about a couple of head turners...
Meet Ana... a great 2009 senior. She came in to the studio towing a suitcase full of fabulous clothes for us to mix and match, and a great attitude to boot! Those that have been through my senior sessions know that while these sessions are a lot of fun, it's hard work to smile and stay upbeat for several hours! Ana put up with all of my crazy ideas and I'd say we had a great time!
